Theory and Practice
You will have the opportunity to introduce your own work scenarios to the course, making full use of practical situations when completing assignments, reflection reports and papers. But you will not be alone … your work floor coach will ensure you are developing the necessary skills. A range of modules will be concluded with a business case, which you will undertake in your own practical environment. In some modules you will be assessed on your solid and active contribution to a business game. This will allow you to broaden your understanding outside of your work environment. When you successfully complete the distance learning program and gain your degree, you will be well equipped to further your career and make a strong contribution in your workplace.

As part of Your MBA you will participate in two residential weeks of study.
One week will be held in Shanghai (China) and the other week will be taught at Cambridge (UK).

Cambridge is home to some of Europe's oldest and best universities with a tradition of excellence.
In the residential weeks in Cambridge, Schouten University links tradition with the current best
practices and your future development.
Residential weeks will be held several times a year, therefore participation is flexible and depends
on the progress of your study. In the residential weeks cooperation between students will be an
important element. Students will work together on a business case. During the residential week
students will be supervised by a professional trainer/coach and a lecturer. Besides an evaluation
of the outcome of their business case, students will also receive individual feedback on behavioral
aspects. In this feedback the trainer/coach will also include the assignments the student has
completed during his study and specifically the personal development module. In addition to
cooperation & skills development, students will also attend several guest lectures on current topics
that are related to the business case.
*Residentials are an obligatory part of the program and the costs of the residentials weeks are
covered by your tuition.
*The fee includes the study weeks’ housing and participation but not the costs of travel or visa (if required).
MBA Degree - Accreditation

The MBA program will be subject to validation by Anglia Ruskin University, in Cambridge, UK. Once Anglia Ruskin University has validated the MBA program, this means, on successful completion of the course, you receive a prestigious, accredited UK master degree. Educational accreditation is a type of quality assurance process under which services and operations of post-secondary educational institutions or programs are evaluated by an external body to determine if applicable standards are met.
When standards are met, accredited status is granted. As well as Anglia Ruskin University, we will be adding further international accreditations to confirm the high quality and standards of Schouten University.

In addition to the above, a great deal of attention is given to the development of your soft skills to enhance your effectiveness as a manager. You will be provided with support throughout the distance learning program. This includes:

Within the online learning environment, you can pose questions and receive answers from lecturers. Feedback will also be provided regarding your assignments.

Additional support will be provided by a coach within the organization that employs you.
Graduate thesis
You will conclude your MBA with a final thesis using your own work scenario. The graduate thesis combines everything you have learned and provides you with the opportunity to demonstrate that you have mastered both the theory and its application.
