The master programme in Financial Engineering prepares you for a challenging and successful career in the international world of finance. You will see finance from advanced quantitative perspectives, including the management of financial portfolios and risk analysis in financial markets.

Programme
Education
The programme comprises of a two-year curriculum with a total of 120 credits and has a unique character. It has been carefully designed and belongs to the very popular educational area of financial engineering. Focusing on quantitative computer-based methods of financial analysis, the programme provides an advanced basis in mathematics and economics. The programme is oriented towards financial real-life problems, and the textbooks have been chosen to support this approach. Advanced financial software is systematically used in the teaching.
Collaboration and Research
Research is concentrated in Financial Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Financial and Risk Management Software, as well as in some related research areas such as Actuarial Mathematics, Applied Statistics and Stochastic Processes, and Simulation. We have teachers who are working in the financial services industry. The best students are involved in research activities and the development of experimental financial software.

Language requirements:
Foreign students are required to submit a TOEFL test result, minimum score 575 with a TWE score of at least 4.5 (PBT) or 90 with a TWE score of at least 20 (iBT) or an IELTS test result with an overall band score of minimum 6.5 and no band score below 5.5 or equivalent.
