Master Program: International MBA

Learning purpose

As a graduate who has excelled in your academic and professional career you will be demanding a lot from your MBA studies. IE Business School’s International MBA is intended for people with your aspirations, ambitions and drive. An international program in all senses of the word, the International MBA will give you the head start that you need and/or help you re-route your professional future by expanding your skill set horizons and network of contacts. the International MBA is consistently ranked among the top in the world in the international press, currently occupying 8th place worldwide in the FT MBA Ranking, and 9th worldwide in The Economist, to name but two.

The International MBA is intended for graduates with at least 3 years work experience

The International MBA features two dual degree options, in addition to the normal MBA graduation.

 

Programme

Structure

The International MBA lasts 13 months, and is held on IE’s central-Madrid campus. Its five teaching periods cover subject matter that becomes progressively more detailed and challenging. The program opens with an online pre-program to prepare you for your studies without having to re-locate.

 

The Pre-program

Taking place in the weeks preceding the MBA, the pre-program allows you to polish your quantitative skills before beginning the International MBA core. The pre-program’s online format allows you to prepare for the course without having to relocate until classes begin in November.

 

The ACCELERATE Program

Develop your ‘soft skills’ through workshops on coaching, feedback, and training, strategic communication, and networking as part of the ACCELERATE program which refines your capacity for observation, analysis, and active listening to become a more effective coach and leader.

 

A Personalized Program

The International MBA offers you a host of personalization options. In the final period you will be able to tailor your studies to your needs and interests: - Participate in the IE Venture Lab to channel your entrepreneurial energy developing an independent, corporate, family, or social venture

- Undertake part of your studies on an exchange program at one of our partner institutions which include Tuck, Tufts, ESSEC, NUS, and IIM

- Choose from over 60 elective courses which can be can be taken in English or Spanish (intensive Spanish classes are offered at the outset of the program), turning your MBA into a bilingual program. Should you prefer, you may continue your studies in English.

 

Dual Degrees

The International MBA offers 2 dual degree programs either in international affairs at the Fletcher School at Tufts, or Logistics and Supply Chain Management at either the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics in the USA, or at the MIT- Zaragoza Logistics Center in Spain.

Entry Requirements

- Bachelor degree or equivalent - At least three years of work experience - Application form + 2 letters of recommendation + 3 essays - GMAT (average: 680) or IE Admission Test - Personal interview - Certificate of proficiency in the English language (where applicable), e.g.: TOEFL (minimum: 250)
