Midmarket companies have historically perceived the international financial markets as remote and closed to them. In recent years, as a result of globalization, companies have had to compete head to head with those who have access to these markets. This access creates a competitive advantage, due to the lower financial costs and/or more flexible conditions, which in many cases mean significant barriers for companies without such access. The program will, in a practical way, seek to explain what the standards, processes and requirements to access the International Capital Markets are and that those of their competition can be achieved. This is an intensive program with a practical character, seeking participation and practice through guided presentations and complemented by business cases. The first half of the course will provide the bases and the drivers of the International Capital Markets. It will describe the market players, their needs and requirements and problems to avoid.
The program will then shift in the second half into a practical workshop, helping participants to understand how the markets work through demonstrations and lectures by market practitioners - showing how they perform and the products they can and do provide.
