Learning purpose
The role of the consultant requires anticipating possible problems and proposing innovative solutions. In this respect managing change processes is part of the consultant’s focus. Fundamentally a consultant should be someone who is helping organisations to become more successful. In order to obtain optimal results it is necessary to understand the parameters of the consultant/client relationship and to provide a structure that avoids common pitfalls and produces concrete results.
It is the alertness of the entrepreneur that leads him to recognise what others have failed to see that there is an opportunity waiting to be grabbed. He will use his sharp business acumen and understanding of business dynamics to tackle risks and come to ‘win-win” solutions.
Programme
This Master programme is built on three pillars: the educational programme, the research programme and the personal development programme. The educational programme provides a profound knowledge of the necessary theories and frameworks and apply theory to practice. The research programme prepares the student for academic research. In the personal development programme students reflect on themselves and the programme, in order to gain an understanding of their personal growth in the study programme.
The curriculum of the Master programme consists of core modules, specialisation modules and elective modules. This design was adopted to create the combination of knowledge, skills and competencies that all professionals in the business field must have.
The first three blocks of the study programme start with a combination of core modules and specialisation modules. The core modules, which focus on management and research, provide the solid foundation of the Master Degree. The core modules are: Organisational Behaviour, Organisational Architecture, Business Ethics and Politics, Management of Technology, Critical thinking and Argument Analysis, and Research Methodology. The specialisation modules focus on key topics in the specialisation.
