Programme
The Executive M.Sc. Program for Electrical Engineers is geared to industrial processes and methods of embedded electronic systems. The program prepares participants for the adoption of on-going tasks, such as development and management of innovation and production processes.
The Master Program is internationally oriented and provides participants with an advanced program. Participants should be qualified in the field of Electrical or Information Engineering and have professional experience. The curriculum is comprised of technical, organizational and economic subjects and furthermore provides a deep insight into new methods of product development, new materials and technologies and applications of embedded systems for wireless and optical communication, signal processing and integrated systems.
Special focus is given to important economic aspects and cost models, eg. cost effective technologies, efficient and application orientated architecture templates and necessary design efforts for the system platforms. Knowledge in process and product life-time cost calculation is an indispensable asset for the successful development of innovative and market-orientated industrial integrated systems-on-chip development and fabrication.
Entry Requirements
- First degree: Bachelor, Diplom (Uni/FH/BA), M.Sc., ...
- Min. 3 years of relevant work experience with according references
- TOEFL score with a minimum of 570 points pb, 250 points cb and 88 points
- Optional: GMAT, GRE or HECTOR School Assessment
- Recommended background studies: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or studies in related fields
Professional perspective and employment market
The Program prepares high-potential engineers within the area of the design of system platforms and architectures for their future position as team or division leaders in the fields of system architects. This program is optimized to train interdisciplinary system-oriented understanding and thinking.
"For me it was the short and effective way to gain relationship overview between the development areas of embedded systems and disciplines surrounding them, e.g. financial activities, mehtods, constraints and opportunities, marketing regarding customer behavior and price-product-promotion-place aspects, and management of different resources during devleopment.
Also the view in the future acitivies regarding new technologies and contracts to key persons (professors) on one of the elite universities in Germany are the factors which will help me in the future work in my decision making process."
"The unique hector school concept with the 10 intensive modules opens for me the chance to do the executive master program combined with my current job. The perfect mixture between the management - and the technical modules guarantees the success of the program and the deep insight into these areas."
