Master Program: Programme for Leadership Development (PLD) with the University of St. Gallen
Learning purpose
The programme's objectives are to: Help the manager define and build the organisation's future, providing a global framework with which to make decisions, as well as the strategies to protect the organisation from threats. Develop the manager's self-awareness, perfecting his or her personal leadership style to promote staff growth and organisational success. Enrich the manager's experience with that of other programme participants, business leaders and professors, broadening the manager's professional network.
Target audience
The Programme for Leadership Development is designed for executives and high potentials with substantial responsibilities within their companies and several years of work experience. These people are committed to their organisations and their own professional development and want to complement their previous training and management experience with specific general management skills and know-how. Participants should have at least a business-level command of English in order to participate fully in all programme sessions.
Graduation variants
Participants will earn a Diploma in Executive Education (“Diplom der Weiterbildung”) from the Universityof St. Gallen. The diploma will be co-signed by ESADE indicating a joint programme diploma
Programme
The PLD consists of 38 days of classroom training, organised in four week-long modules (five days, Monday-Friday), and six weekend modules (three days, Thursday- Saturday). The week-long modules are conducted at the campuses of ESADE in Barcelona and ES-HSG in St. Gallen. The weekend modules are conducted in Berlin and Munich, Germany. The LEAD programme, developed by ESADE, will form an essential part of the PLD and will develop key personal competencies at the same time as participants learn concepts of leadership. Classroom sessions will be supplemented by opportunities to discuss current events with prominent business and economic leaders in relaxed settings. Participants will also be able to visit companies in each region where sessions are held to learn about local specifics of doing business in Europe.
