Program Overview
The BSL Executive MBA program brings together executives from many different sectors of business. All share the desire to improve their problem-solving capabilities in a rapidly changing business world. BSL’s pragmatic approach provides an atmosphere for high quality discussions among professionals who encounter similar business problems. The resulting effects are exciting, stimulating, and highly conducive to rapidly broadening their experience. The Executive MBA consists of twelve self-contained course subjects plus a Management Report.
Active Learning
The Executive MBA covers all critical business areas. Classes focus on active learning, where students are engaged directly in the learning process. Instead of simply receiving information verbally and visually, students are required to participate and interact. BSL faculty encourages the shy to stand behind great ideas and teaches the extroverted to choose their words wisely if they want others to follow what they are saying. Students in every course are judged on both how much they said, and on how valuable their contribution was to the discussion. The Management Report
Designed to meet the demands of today’s competitive business environment, BSL’s Executive MBA program includes an applied Management Report. Students must develop a topic and complete a report pertaining to one of three broad areas; the critique of a business situation that has already taken place, the expansion of an existing business, or the creation of a new business. The report is evaluated based on a student’s application of business skills. The BSL MBA Management Report simulates exactly what young business executives will be called upon to do in the real business world.
Program Duration
BSL’s Executive MBA program offers two formulas, both developed to best accommodate the schedules of practicing professionals.
- BSL’s Modular MBA is a 1 year, full-time program involving 3-day courses. It provides a structure that allows students to join the program in a convenient manner. Under the modular structure, a part-time MBA may take between 1.5 and 2 years to complete, depending on a student’s chosen study schedule.
- BSL’s Saturday Executive MBA program runs every Saturday for one year and, subsequently, once a month for another 6 months. The additional 6 months are dedicated to the completion of the management report and to ensuring career placement. The program starts in February and September.
Recognition
The graduate degree in business at BSL is fully accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). It is equivalent to a one-year Master’s Degree in the US and to a one-year European postmaster’s degree.
