I had been with my company for more than 12 years and held six different positions when my boss suggested that an MBA could unlock hidden potential.
What appealed about Ashridge was the smaller than average class sizes - others I looked at had huge numbers of students and I knew I would have felt like a number. Ashridge participants typically have a high level of experience as well. To gain a flavour of Ashridge I attended their 'MBA in a day' experience. I immediately valued the warmth with which I was treated.
The Ashridge MBA is very practical; underpinned by real business cases rather than just theory. I felt this would be more useful. The MBA gave me the skills to analyse problems better and find solutions. And, crucially, it re-set my values, reminding me that it's my family that comes first and foremost. There isn't a better place in the world to do an MBA in terms of environment and quality of delivery.
