Ashridge MBA Programmes
The Ashridge MBA is special in several ways:
World-class reputation
Ashridge is one of a handful of schools worldwide to achieve triple accreditation from AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB; the UK, European and American accreditation bodies for quality MBA programmes. Our MBA is currently ranked 6th in the UK, 14th in Europe and 35th worldwide (Economist MBA Ranking, 2010).
Focus on application
The MBA project goes beyond theory by giving you the opportunity to put into practice all that you have learned via a strategic consulting assignment for a client organisation or for your employer. Live cases are employed throughout the programme to ensure learning is continuously relevant and applied.
Individual attention
Small class sizes ensure you benefit from individual attention and an interactive learning style. Classroom sessions are highly participative, favouring an exchange of ideas and information to enrich peer group learning. Ashridge MBA participants have significant business experience, which creates one of the most experienced full-time MBA cohorts in the business school world.
Innovative curriculum
The world of business is not a tidy arrangement of subjects. The reality is that issues cut across the business and across functions. The Ashridge MBA is not delivered in functional silos - the syllabus takes an integrated and thematic view of business.
We recognise that experienced managers learn best in a variety of ways. We use lectures, facilitated discussions, experiential learning, psychometric instruments, one-to-one feedback, e-learning, live case studies, simulations, consulting assignments, coaching, guest speakers, self-managed learning and organisational visits.
Unique learning environment
Ashridge is set in 150 acres of English parkland - a stunning learning environment steeped in history containing some of the best teaching facilities a business school can provide. The ideal place to reflect on personal development and focus on your learning - just 30 minutes from central London.
Two Pathways: EMBA and MBA
The Ashridge MBA is offered through two different pathways – a Two-year Executive MBA and a One-year Full-time MBA. Both programmes are designed for experienced professionals and participants typically demonstrate an average of 12 years' experience. Both cohorts are diverse in nature, with participants from a range of cultural backgrounds and industry sectors. Participants benefit from the same highly international faculty, a teaching and learning philosophy which believes in blending theory and practice and emphasises an interactive classroom experience.
The Two-year Part-time Executive MBA
starts in September and requires participants to attend 13 modules of study on campus, primarily made up of one-week blcoks. Participants tend to be company-sponsored and are looking for growth within their existing organisations.
The One-Year Full-time MBA
starts in January and participants are required to spend 22 weeks on campus over the year. MBA participants are usually self-sponsored and are seeking to broaden their horizons and to re-invent their careers.

MBA Participant Quotes
Matthew Ansell (British), Full Time MBA 2008
Director of Product Management and Marketing, IMG Media, UK
Ashridge is a very special place. It educates and informs leaders within some of the biggest and most successful organisations in the world. I love Ashridge’s approach to learning. The concept of using respected academics who also consult means that they can relate to our experiences whilst teaching us how to learn from them. I wanted to be a part of that. Selecting the right MBA school is a very personal decision. My first impression was that Ashridge was the right choice for me. One year on and I am very proud to be associated with this amazing place.
Silke Junge (German), Full Time MBA 2008
EMEA Distributor Business Manager at Acentic GmbH, Cologne, Germany
My classmates were from diverse backgrounds and everyone brought their professional experience to the table. Working with external organisations - on live case studies and in the MBA Project - helped to put the learning into practice and showed the impact of strategic knowledge on the success of a business.
Floyd MacDonald (Dutch), Executive Part Time MBA 2007-2009

If you are looking to challenge your performance as a leader in an international and experienced learning environment, then is Ashridge a place to be.
Sara Perella (Italian), Executive Part Time MBA 2007-2009

When I take decisions and compare ideas with my MBA colleagues, I feel empowered to change not only the business strategies but also the culture of the company in which I work. Ashridge has helped me achieve a measurable impact on the business environment and has strengthened my decision-making abilities.
