Ashridge combines the best of a business school with an innovative organisation consultancy. Business leaders from all over the world come to Ashridge to renew and refresh their thinking. Its atmosphere is one where tradition meets innovation – in one of the most beautiful locations in England.
Ashridge opened as a business school in 1959 as a result of an initiative by companies like Shell, BP, Unilever and Guinness, that wanted to educate business managers for the future. However, it has been a seat of learning and influence since the 13th century, when it was initially founded as a monastery.

Ashridge faculty, of which 50 per cent are women and 55 per cent are international, work with thousands of executives across the globe every year. They comprise both business professionals and consultants, who bring in-depth industry experience and latest management practice to the design and teaching of our executive education.

Ashridge undertakes the following activities:

  • One-year Full-time MBA Programme
  • Two-year Part-time MBA Programme (EMBA)
  • Doctorate in Organisation Consulting (ADOC)
  • Masters in Sustainability and Responsibility (AMSR)

Ashridge has developed a strong capability in online learning. There are a number of tools and products that we offer to enhance the learning experience including: the Virtual Learning Resource Centre (VLRC), psychometric instruments, virtual learning environments (e-sharing) and virtual classrooms.

Ashridge Consulting is an organisation development consultancy specialising in strategy, leadership and change, working with clients from many different sectors and industries. Its consulting style is collaborative and highly participative. In addition to being practitioners, Ashridge consultants develop other consultants’ expertise in change management, through a suite of Doctoral, Masters and short programmes.

Coaching

The Ashridge pool of over 60 executive coaches provides coaching to individuals and teams at the top of organisations around the world. Ashridge also develops and accredits coaches, and the Ashridge Centre for Coaching co-ordinates research into coaching, to ensure that our coaching is the best available and fully compliant with the highest European standards.

Ashridge undertakes applied research, through a number of specialist research centres. These include leadership, business and sustainability, strategic management, coaching and the public sector.
